Terms of Use
VERSION: terms-v1 EFFECTIVE DATE: August 14, 2026
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of DOCOD, including the website, accounts, Daily Challenges, Premium features, books and other digital products, subscriptions, payments, downloads, communications, and other features made available through the platform.
By using DOCOD, creating an account, or purchasing a product or service, you agree to these Terms and the applicable Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use services that require your acceptance.
The Portuguese version of these Terms is the version of record.
1. Who provides DOCOD
DOCOD is developed and operated by SCHOLE STARTUP STUDIO, publicly identified as Codenroll Technologies.
Legal entity name: SCHOLE STARTUP STUDIO
Brazilian tax ID (CNPJ): 31.393.117/0001-06
Location: São Paulo, Brazil
Contact: hello@codenroll.tech
For purposes of these Terms, "DOCOD," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the service it operates.
The provider's legal identification and contact information also remain available where required in connection with online purchases, as Brazilian e-commerce rules require.
2. What these Terms cover
These Terms apply to products and services directly provided by DOCOD, including public website content; account creation and use; the free Daily Challenge; Daily Challenge Premium and other paid features; progress tracking; answer and code submissions; purchases and access to books and digital products; library and downloads; recurring subscriptions; payments for DOCOD products; communications required to provide the service; free materials and other features directly provided through the platform.
Products or services purchased directly from third parties may also be governed by those third parties' own terms.
3. Eligibility and legal capacity
You must have the legal capacity required to enter into contracts for the services you use.
If applicable law requires authorization from a parent or legal guardian for you to purchase a paid service or complete a transaction, you must obtain that authorization before purchasing.
By creating an account or completing a purchase, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the capacity or authorization required for that action.
4. Accounts
Some DOCOD features may require an account.
You are responsible for keeping your information current; protecting your authentication methods; not sharing access in a way that enables improper use of personal or paid features; and notifying us when you become aware of unauthorized access.
Accounts are personal unless a particular product or plan expressly provides otherwise. You may not use another person's account without authorization.
5. Free Daily Challenge
The free Daily Challenge provides engineering problems made available on the platform or delivered by email according to the relevant subscription.
Challenge frequency, sequence, and availability may evolve.
Challenges are intended for educational and professional-development purposes. Completing a challenge does not constitute professional certification or guarantee mastery of a particular skill.
You may use tools, programming languages, and AI agents to solve challenges unless a specific challenge includes a restriction necessary to that exercise.
6. Daily Challenge Premium
Premium may include, as described in the offer shown at the time of purchase: expanded catalog access; complete solutions; reasoning and explanations; alternative approaches; trade-off analysis; references; analysis of common error patterns; history and progress; and other features identified as Premium.
The exact scope of the plan is the scope presented in the applicable offer when you purchase it.
DOCOD may evolve the organization, presentation, and content of the product while respecting mandatory consumer rights and the conditions of the purchased offer.
7. Submissions, code, and progress
When using challenges, you may submit answers, code, or other information relating to your solution.
You retain any rights you hold in content you submit. Submitting content to DOCOD does not transfer ownership of that content.
You grant DOCOD a limited, non-exclusive license necessary to receive and store the submission; execute or test code where that feature is available; analyze results; record your progress; display the submission back to you; and provide functionality related to the challenge.
This license exists only to the extent necessary to operate the service and does not authorize DOCOD to publish a private submission as its own content without another applicable basis or authorization.
Do not include unnecessary personal information, credentials, trade secrets, or confidential information in challenge submissions.
8. Execution environments
Where DOCOD executes code submitted by you, that environment is intended only for solving the challenges provided.
You may not use those resources to attack, probe, or compromise infrastructure; attempt to escape the execution environment; access systems, accounts, or data without authorization; run malware or deliberately destructive code; consume computing resources for unrelated purposes; or interfere with other users' access to the service.
We may impose execution time, resource, attempt, and request limits for security and service stability.
9. Books and digital products
Where DOCOD directly sells a book or other digital product, essential terms of the offer — including format, language, edition, price, and delivery method — will be presented before purchase.
After payment confirmation, access may be provided through a library, download, email, or another method described in the offer.
Digital products
Purchasing an e-book or other digital material grants you a personal right to access and use that content for your own purposes. It does not transfer copyright ownership in the work.
Unless expressly authorized or permitted by law, you may not redistribute the file; make it publicly available; sell unauthorized digital copies; share access in a way that substitutes for individual purchases; or remove legitimate identification mechanisms used to protect the content.
Printed books
Where a physical edition is purchased directly from DOCOD, the delivery terms shown at purchase also apply.
Where a purchase is made from Amazon or another independent retailer, payment, delivery, returns, and support for that transaction may also be governed by the retailer's terms.
Ownership of a physical copy does not transfer copyright in the work.
10. Prices
Prices, currency, billing frequency, payment conditions, and applicable additional charges will be shown before completion of a purchase. The offer presented at checkout forms part of the conditions of that transaction.
DOCOD may change prices for future purchases. A price change does not retroactively alter a completed purchase.
Where a change affects the next renewal of a recurring subscription, notice will be provided before the charge where required by applicable law.
11. Payments
Payments may be handled by a specialized payment provider. The available payment methods will be presented at checkout.
A purchase is completed only after the required payment confirmation or authorization.
We may receive information from the payment provider such as payment status; transaction identifier; amount and currency; customer identifier; limited payment-method information; and data required for reconciliation.
The payment provider may apply its own terms to processing performed directly by it.
If a payment is declined, cancelled, validly charged back, or reversed, access associated with that transaction may be restricted or terminated, subject to applicable legal rights.
12. Subscriptions and renewal
Where a plan is presented as recurring, its billing frequency will be disclosed before purchase.
A recurring subscription may automatically renew for successive periods until cancelled, provided that this condition was disclosed in the offer.
You may cancel renewal through the mechanisms made available by DOCOD.
Unless the offer or applicable law provides otherwise, cancelling renewal prevents charges for future periods; does not retroactively cancel the period already paid for; and allows access through the end of the purchased period.
Cancellation must not require purchasing another product or be subject to improper obstacles.
13. Right of withdrawal and refunds
Brazilian consumers entering into transactions covered by Article 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code may exercise the applicable statutory 7-day right of withdrawal.
DOCOD will provide an appropriate means to submit such a request and process a refund where required. Brazilian e-commerce rules require clear means for exercising this right and procedures for communicating and confirming the withdrawal.
Mandatory rights relating to defects, failure to deliver, improper charges, or failure to comply with an offer remain unaffected.
Outside mandatory legal rights or a specific promotional refund policy, cancelling a subscription after the applicable statutory period does not automatically entitle the user to a prorated refund of a period already paid for and made available.
Where the laws applicable to your place of residence provide additional cancellation or refund rights, those rights prevail.
14. Transactional communications
By using DOCOD features, you agree that we may send communications strictly necessary to provide services you requested, including account confirmations; email verification; payment confirmations; receipts; product delivery; subscription and cancellation information; security notices; responses to requests you initiate; and material changes affecting a purchased service.
These messages are distinct from optional marketing communications.
Buying a book, purchasing Premium, or creating an account does not automatically subscribe you to a newsletter or other promotional communications.
Optional communications are handled according to the Privacy Policy and the preferences you provide.
15. Acceptable use
You may use DOCOD for legitimate personal, educational, and professional purposes, subject to the terms of the applicable product.
You may not engage in fraud; access accounts, data, or resources without authorization; bypass access controls or Premium restrictions; share credentials to enable improper subscription use; perform automated extraction at a scale that substantially reproduces the challenge catalog, books, solutions, or other protected content; redistribute Premium content or books without authorization; interfere with platform security or availability; submit malware or content intended to compromise systems; use the service unlawfully; or use automation to abuse forms, APIs, challenge execution, or other resources intended for ordinary platform use.
Security testing or infrastructure research that goes beyond ordinary permitted use requires prior authorization.
16. DOCOD intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, texts, visual identity, challenges, solutions, illustrations, educational materials, website design, and other DOCOD-created materials are protected by applicable intellectual property rights.
Using DOCOD does not transfer ownership of those materials. You receive only the rights necessary to use the relevant product or service for its intended purpose.
"DOCOD," its visual identity, and other brand elements may not be used in a manner that falsely implies partnership, endorsement, or official origin without authorization.
17. DOCOD Runtime and open-source software
Parts of the DOCOD ecosystem, including the Runtime, may be provided under a separate open-source license.
These Terms do not replace an applicable open-source license.
Where code is accompanied by a specific license, rights to use, modify, distribute, and otherwise deal with that code are governed by that license.
If these Terms conflict with an applicable open-source license, the open-source license controls with respect to that software.
Hosted services, Premium content, books, and materials outside that license remain subject to these Terms and their applicable conditions.
18. Educational and technical content
DOCOD provides content for learning and professional development in software engineering.
Challenges, solutions, examples, articles, books, documentation, and technical responses may contain errors, limitations, or represent only one of several valid approaches.
Passing a test does not necessarily mean that code is production-ready, secure in every context, or correct for every possible scenario.
You remain responsible for exercising appropriate professional judgment before applying code, architecture, decisions, or recommendations to real systems.
Nothing in DOCOD guarantees employment; promotion; interview success; professional certification; increased income; a specific productivity gain; bug-free software; absolute security; or a specific business result.
19. AI and AI-assisted content
Some DOCOD features, content, or workflows may use artificial intelligence systems.
AI-generated or AI-assisted results may contain errors, omissions, or incorrect inferences. The use of AI does not make an output guaranteed fact and does not replace appropriate review where technical accuracy matters.
The same principle DOCOD applies to engineering applies here: a claim does not become correct merely because an agent produced it.
20. Third-party services
DOCOD may integrate with or link to independent services such as payment providers; code repositories; book distribution platforms; development tools; authentication providers; and other external websites.
Where you use an independent third-party service directly, that provider's own terms and policies may also apply. We do not control an independent service merely because DOCOD links to or integrates with it.
21. Availability and service evolution
We work to keep DOCOD available and functional, but digital services may experience maintenance, technical failures, supplier outages, or other interruptions.
Unless a specific service commitment states otherwise, we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or absolute freedom from errors.
We may fix bugs; change interfaces; add or remove features; reorganize content; evolve challenges; modify integrations; and update technical mechanisms.
Changes do not remove mandatory consumer rights or permit arbitrary non-performance of a purchased offer. Brazilian consumer law protects compliance with offers and limits contractual clauses that improperly remove consumer rights.
Where a material change significantly affects an active paid product, we will take the measures required by applicable law and the conditions of that purchase.
22. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or suspend access for legitimate reasons, including material breach of these Terms; fraud or attempted fraud; security risk; attacks against infrastructure; unauthorized use; non-payment of a paid service; or a legal obligation or valid order from a competent authority.
Where reasonably possible and consistent with security, we will provide information about the reason and available means of contacting us or resolving the issue.
If we permanently discontinue a paid service without cause attributable to the user and without providing an equivalent alternative, applicable refund or compensation rights under law and the relevant offer will be respected.
You may stop using free services at any time. For recurring paid services, use the relevant cancellation mechanism.
23. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, DOCOD is not responsible for professional, commercial, or technical outcomes resulting solely from a user's decision to apply educational content without appropriate evaluation of the context.
We also cannot assume responsibility for failures exclusively attributable to independent third-party services outside our control.
Nothing in this section excludes or reduces liability that cannot legally be excluded, rights under applicable consumer law, or other mandatory rights.
Brazilian consumer law restricts contractual clauses that eliminate statutory supplier responsibilities or require consumers to waive mandatory rights.
24. Privacy
Personal data processing related to DOCOD is described in the current Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy forms part of the set of documents governing use of the platform but is versioned separately.
These Terms govern use and purchasing. The Privacy Policy governs personal data processing.
25. Changes to these Terms
These Terms are versioned. Each new version receives its own identifier and effective date.
We may update these Terms to reflect new products; operational changes; platform evolution; legal requirements; or changes intended to clarify the conditions.
A new version does not retroactively rewrite an earlier transaction where doing so would conflict with applicable law or the conditions of that transaction.
Where a material update requires new acceptance or advance notice, we will use the appropriate process. New purchases are subject to the version presented in connection with that transaction.
26. Severability
If a provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will not automatically become invalid to the extent permitted by applicable law.
The affected provision will, where possible, be interpreted or replaced in a manner consistent with the legitimate purpose of these Terms and applicable law.
27. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil, without excluding mandatory protections available to users or consumers in other jurisdictions where those rules apply.
Nothing in these Terms limits a consumer's right to seek assistance from consumer-protection bodies, competent authorities, or courts as provided by applicable law.
These Terms do not impose mandatory arbitration on consumers. Brazilian consumer law treats compulsory arbitration clauses in consumer contracts as abusive.
Disputes will be submitted to the competent jurisdiction determined under applicable law.
